The educational landscape is rapidly evolving, with schools facing unique challenges in supporting students' academic, social and emotional growth. Recognizing the need for innovative approaches, Bellevue Public Schools partnered with Boys Town to implement the evidence-based Boys Town Educational Model® across its 20 schools. This collaborative effort has transformed classroom environments and strengthened school culture, bringing measurable benefits to students and educators alike.

Understanding the Challenges

Like many school districts, Bellevue Public Schools faced significant challenges in behavior management, social skills development, and creating a positive school climate. Addressing these issues required a structured and collaborative approach that aligned all stakeholders around shared goals, from administrators to teachers and parents.

Introducing the Boys Town Educational Model

The Boys Town Educational Model is designed to provide schools with practical strategies for managing student behavior and teaching essential social skills. At the core of the model are proactive classroom strategies, positive reinforcement, and behavioral interventions that promote a culture of respect and collaboration. Bellevue Public Schools embraced this model, cohesively implementing it with other implemented PD and models, as a way to create more supportive learning environments, reduce disruptions and enhance social-emotional competencies among students.
